5 more setting ideas. I do like one of these~
Note the in-progress baskets at top of 8 :-)
edited to add that those baskets do NOT go with this quilt, they are part of the Eleanor Burns Grandmothers Flower Garden pattern with dimensional flowers. Sorry to confuse some of you!

What was your method of applique?
We are headed northwest next Thursday. The temps here have been in the upper 90's so I'm looking forward to cool!
I am loving these baskets! #6 or #8.. I like the appliqued extras, but I like the arrangement of #6. Maybe you could applique flowers in a couple of the more "open " blocks in arrangement #6.

Numismatist, I use the starch and press method of preparing appliqué, these handles are hand stitched down. The Eleanor Burns basket patterns at the top of #8 are all machine appliqué. This has to be the coldest summer on record here. I'm still wearing socks 24/7 and we had to run the heat yesterday. Crazy. Thanks for visiting.
Loz, I understand now why most baskets have pieced feet, it's to set the baskets apart in the settings :-) I'm favoring #10 myself. Non-quilters don't realize a lot of time in a quilt is think time! Thanks for giving me your opinion, I appreciate it.
I like the settings on point, with the alternating squares or the sashings. Somehow it helps tell my brain the shapes are baskets. I am drawn to #10 as well...a unique setting with very interesting pattern play! Love the colors!
