I think each state of our union is uniquely beautiful, but Washington tops them all, not that I am prejudiced but whatever climate you prefer, you can get here! Take a stroll though Webshots Washington album and get yourself some gorgeous wallpaper.
This is a peek of our place during a winter snow storm a few years ago. Perfect stay-in and quilt day.

What a beautiful home! I also love a snowy day when I can hunker down in my warm lair.
Thirty years ago I lived in Oak Harbor. I remember being in awe the first time we drove up there. A few months ago when we were in your area for a week I marvelled all over again. I especially loved the Hoh Rainforest.
I agree - WA is the prettiest - mostly green, oh so green all year - and then those ocassional snows (well for the lowlands anyway - we won't mention Mt. Baker with over 1,000 inches of snow some years). Very pretty picture - but I guess I prefer the evergreen part best. Either is good for quilting - especially when it pours rain like it is right now.
