Then it's their millstone, right?

I didn't know there were individuals that would come and do that. I'll keep that in mind. I love it after things are cleared out and the new space that becomes available - either to move more things into it - or to just enjoy the freedom of more room in the house.

Good luck with selling the house - where are you going?JoAnn ( Scene Through My Eyes)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12621061028973446378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7410183011324768146.post-88284601491177086422008-11-26T19:40:00.000-08:002008-11-26T19:40:00.000-08:00Oh! Hopefully you won't be moving out of beautiful Washington State?!!!
Have you tried selling on Etsy.com?
I've heard it is a good place for selling handcrafted items.
Just "thots".
Lady FarmerLady Farmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12478162101957028151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7410183011324768146.post-11800664821833817092008-11-26T16:58:00.000-08:002008-11-26T16:58:00.000-08:00Oh Heavens, I never sold any quilts! Our friends in the orient can sell them so much cheaper...
I really loved selling on Ebay and still hear occasionally from people who bought stuff from me.

Times change though and it was time to move on anyway, I was working around the clock it seemed like as I also had a beauty salon.

The move is a good thing. This is the only place I've ever lived where I felt like I grew some roots though. And hopefully a nice family will get this place and love it too.

Thank you both for stopping by, SharynSharyn Mallow Woerzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17776056375534578046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7410183011324768146.post-13943706840953569072008-11-26T15:13:00.000-08:002008-11-26T15:13:00.000-08:00Ohh. From your A-frame that looks so cute covered in snow?

I haven't sold anything on ebay, although I want to. We'll have to chat about what's making it difficult.

LozBizarreQuilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15095799741642276376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7410183011324768146.post-37536734978066233932008-11-26T13:45:00.000-08:002008-11-26T13:45:00.000-08:00What an interesting occupation, parting out person...What an interesting occupation, parting out personal estates.

You have such a lovely home in a beautiful setting. It must be difficult to move away.

I've never sold anything on Ebay but I'm impressed that you had a business there. Your quilts are so beautiful that it is hard for me to imagine that you got what they were truly worth. (I hope that came across as a sincere compliment!)

In my area I have found that the value of handmade quilts is grossly underestimated by the general public. Last year I had eight of mine appraised and those papers will go with the quilts when they are given to my grandchildren.

Have a great Thanksgiving.The Numismatisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15087097629745984272noreply@blogger.com
